Program
DAY 1: NAIROBI – AMBOSELI NAT. PARK
6.00am: Pick up at your hotel/residence early morning departure and briefing by our tour driver guide. Depart and drive by road through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephant.
DAY 2&3: AMBOSELI NAT. PARK – ABERDARE NAT. PARK
We spend the second day in Amboseli and rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for another stimulating ‘Spice’ game drive in search for the big five. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife. After early morning breakfast we depart for another thrilling destination, the Aberdare National Park. We stop for lunch at an upscale restaurant in Nairobi and travel overland through plantations of coffee and tea to The Aberdare Country Club, nestled on the slopes of Mweiga Hill. After high tea, set off for the Ark tree lodge, located in the forest on mountain slopes of the Aberdare Mountains at 7,000 feet.
DAY 4&5: LAKE NAKURU NAT. PARK – MASAI MARA
Early morning breakfast and gamedrive as we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. Checkin in time for lunch, Lunch rest and embark on game viewing drive in Lake Nakuru Park, in search of its diverse wildlife and birds. Day 5 is set aside for game viewing in Kenya’s finest wildlife park, the Mara National Reserve. We start our day with breakfast beside the lake then check out and game drive enroute to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve.
DAY 6/7: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
6.00am: Another day dedicated to game spotting in this sprawling reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange-tinged sunsets that make for spectacular photos.
DAY 8: MASAI MARA NAT. RESERVE – NAIROBI
Wake up call for a morning game drive, pre-breakfast game drive and back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon after having had a memorable and great experience safari.
