  Start the Adventure

  8.30am: Pick up from the hotel by Saloon car, mini tour van or Nimbus Tours & Travel Limited Bus and drive to the city of Mombasa to explore and discover the culture, origins and fun of Mombasa. This full-day city tour is part history and part shopping for shopping fans.

• Call in at the Akamba woodcarvers, to see them at work and possibly purchase some of their wonderful crafts and other souvenirs.

• 

  Elephant Tusks of Mombasa

  Then drive along the old railway station, after which you will make a quick stop at the Hindu temple, proceed through to the Elephant Tusks of Mombasa along the Moi avenue and take some memorable pictures. Cross over to the old port, and ferry point as well, then proceed to Fort Jesus, built by the Portuguese in the 16th Century.

• Marikiti market

  Hear about the long and fascinating history of the fort before it was converted into a prison in 1985, and later, into a historical landmark. We then walk through old town till the spice market commonly known as Marikiti market. We board our bus then head for lunch at approximately 12:00hrs.

• Dr. Rene Haller's Nature Park

  After lunch we drive to Haller park visit Dr. Rene Haller's Nature Park, a group of former quarries now reforested and home to many animals, including hippos, giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, and crocodiles, have a walk through tour in ready and view of feeding the animals Later we drive back to hotel.
