Description

Famous for the Tsavo lions, there are close to 700 in this ecosystem. This action-packed day trip is a dawn to dusk experience. Prepare to spend at least 6 hours viewing spectacular wildlife and colourful landscapes.

  DAY 1: MOMBASA - TSAVO EAST

  5.00am: Pick up at your residence / hotel, early morning departure and briefing by the Tour guide/driver and then proceed through Mombasa - Nairobi highway to enter Tsavo East which covers 11,747 sq. km and in south-west Kenya, inland from the coast, through the Bachuma Gate.

• Game Drive

  Commence on a morning Game drive in search of the famous Red Elephants because of the laterite soil (volcanic soil), the Man Eaters of Tsavo, Cheetahs, Giraffes, Leopards, Buffalos, and Rhinos among other wide range of wildlife. Drive through the park where the birdlife is also abundant and beautiful, with more than 400species to be seen. Several reptiles species including the crocodiles commonly in the Athi and Tsavo rivers.

• 

  At Noon:

  Check in at the famous Voi Safari Lodge or similar in time for lunch, from the comfort of the lodge it’s possible to view game ambling to and from the park while serving both the international and local cuisine.

• Camel safaris are a unique feature of the park. Spectacular views are yet another reason why groups of photographers frequent the park. Visitors can stay at different types of accommodation offered.

• A Photographer's Delight

  Besides, there’s a special hide for camera enthusiasts, enabling photographers to take close-up images of game animals at the edge. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive after which check out and game drive enroute to Mombasa and transfer to residence, having had a wonderful, educational and memorable day.
