FULL DAY WASINI KISITE TOUR

Description

The Wasini tour is a fun and discovery land and sea excursion while on a group or solo tour. We drive to Shimoni at the south coast where we board motorized traditional dhows for the exciting day adventure.

Program

• 

  Start of Adventure

  6:00AM: Pick up from the hotel (North Coast) by bus/mini van and drive south of Mombasa, an approximate 90 kilometers distance to Shimoni.

• Lower and Upper Mpunguti Islets

  Board an old Arab Dhow, now motorized for flexibility and sail through an enchanting seascape of islets (Lower and Upper Mpunguti) and reefs to the marvels of the underwater world at the Kisite Marine National Park, this is one of the best parks in the world.

• 

  Coral Gardens

  Experience one of the lasting memories of these beautiful Marine species which will fascinate you from the start to the end as you float snorkeling viewing the Coral Garden in inhabited by thousands of different types of fishes and sea creatures. Dolphins are always seen along these areas if the weather permits. Being accompanied by a professional captain will make the trip more fascinating.

• Sea Food Cuisine

  After Snorkeling you will sail to Wasini Island where you will have a mouth watering sea food lunch at a Swahili restaurant situated on a cliff facing the Shimoni jetty. After lunch, a short walk of the village will enable you to discover history dating back 500 years, old buildings, graveyard & old mosque which can still be seen.

• Shimoni Jetty

  Visit a Coral Garden to see mangroves, dead Corals, sea weeds e.t.c. Board the Dhow, sail to Shimoni jetty where your bus awaits you for a return trip to Hotel. Arrive back in the evening.

This popular coastal sea and land excursion offers a full day of activities featuring sailing on a traditional Dhow. The tour includes Dolphin encounters and a sea food lunch.
