Description

The ecosystem mainly savannah grassland spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. The park protects two of the five main swamps, and includes a dried-up Pleistocene lake and semi-arid vegetation.

  DAY 1: NAIROBI - AMBOSELI NAT. PARK

  6.00am: Pick up at your hotel/residence early morning departure and briefing by our tour driver guide. Depart and drive by road through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park, home to the legendary Maasai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephant.

  DAY 2&3: AMBOSELI NAT. PARK - LAKE NAKURU

  We spend the second day in Amboseli and rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for another stimulating ‘Spice’ game drive in search for the big five. 3rd day, After early morning breakfast we depart for another thrilling destination, the exotic L. Nakuru National Park. We stop for lunch at an upscale restaurant in Nairobi and travel overland stopping along the way for photo enthusiasts. Arrive and check in Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley. Checkin in time for lunch, Lunch rest and embark on game viewing drive in the Park, in search of its diverse wildlife and birds.

  DAY 4: LAKE NAKURU NAT. PARK - MASAI MARA

  The next days are set aside for game viewing in Kenya's finest wildlife park, the Mara National Reserve. We start our day with breakfast beside the lake then check out and game drive enroute to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. The Mara Park is famous for the annual migration of the wildebeests accompanied by zebras crossing the Mara river to the Tanzanian, Serengeti National Park.

  DAY 5/6: MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

  6.00am: Another day dedicated to game spotting in this sprawling reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange-tinged sunsets that make for spectacular photos. You can watch a lion, cheetah or leopard hunting or feasting on its kill. Option of a visit to a Masai village or if not done on the previous day then a hot-air balloon ride that starts at 06.00 am and ends with a Champagne breakfast on the plains would be ideal. What an exhilarating experience! Evening game drive. All meals and overnight at the lodge.

  DAY 7: MASAI MARA NAT. RESERVE - NAIROBI

  Wake up call for a morning game drive, pre-breakfast game drive and back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon after having had a memorable and great experience safari.
