  Day 1: MALINDI/WATAMU – TSAVO EAST – TAITA HILLS (230 KMS – Approx. 3 hours)

  Tsavo East is Kenya’s largest park and home to lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and dozens of other animals. Interested in colorful birds? The park offers over 500 species like the lovebird and sacred ibis. We’ll visit several watering holes known for their abundance of wildlife and watch as the animals gather to quench their thirst.

• Tour the Sagala Hills

  Guests touring the outback of Tsavo in south-eastern Kenya can spend time on the viewing decks of the lodge and watch as herds of elephants, zebras, buffaloes and many species of birds visit the watering hole below to drink, bath or graze on the surrounding foliage. The entire lodge is built with timber poles and thatched roofs with a warm, eco-friendly ambience that surprisingly combines all the basic comforts you may need.

  Visit the hills, a busy place, filled with over 50 species of large wildlife. The sanctuary is greener and more dramatic than Tsavo East, with frequent sighting of lion and elephant. We’ll spend the night here at your choice of the Sarov

• Wildlife Sanctuary

  Think about it – just a few hours from the beach, real-life safari adventures are waiting for you! Just hop into one of our new 4 x 4 Jeeps and we’ll take off for the wildlife in this tour. Then, we’ll add to the fun with a quick hop over to nearby Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary for a different safari experience in this smaller but densely populated park. This short 2-day safari is perfect for a quick, last-minute getaway.

Though Taita Hills is small, it is a busy place, filled with over 50 species of large wildlife. The sanctuary is greener and more dramatic than Tsavo East, with frequent sighting of lion and elephant. We’ll spend the night here at your choice of the Sarova Taita Hills Lodge or Salt Lick Safari Lodge.
